[Video] Two Ways to Harvest Pea Shoot Microgreens

Julia Dimakos

Hi, I'm Julia from Mono, Ontario, Canada. I began my gardening adventure after having children. Since then, my interest grew into a passion. I love growing vegetables, herbs, flowers, fruit and medicinal herbs. I'm here to show you that growing your own food is not difficult and in fact can be simple.

Do you grow pea shoots for microgreens?  I’ve been growing them for years and they’re one of the easiest vegetables to grow indoors during the long, cold days of winter.

Over the years, I’ve learned that there are two ways to harvest them.

According to the traditional microgreens method, you would cut your pea shoots above the soil line. However, there is another way.  Also, at what point have the pea shoots reached their desired height for harvest?

In my latest video post, I discuss pea shoots and their various stages of development.  In addition, I show both harvesting methods, allowing you greater flexibility in growing them indoors.

Happy Gardening!
