Brassica rapa pekinensis
Similar to tatsoi, but more heat-tolerant, Yukina Savoy allows for a harvest into early summer. Savoyed, upright, spoon-shaped leaves, make for easy picking. Grow throughout the year, from spring through fall and into winter in milder areas, or with winter protection.
Flavour is mild mustard, yet juicy and sweet. Enjoy raw in a salad, stir fry or add to soups.
Sow seeds indoors at least 4 to 6 weeks before the final frost date, or sow directly 4 weeks before the last frost. Consider planting two rows every 3 weeks for a continuous succession crop.
Days to Maturity: 25 (baby leaves) to 45
Packet: 0.5g (approximately 450 seeds)
