Fragaria vesca

Regina alpine strawberries are easy to grow from seed. The plant produces small, delicate, bright red fruits from summer until the first frost over several seasons. The berries are incredibly sweet, with a uniquely rich and fruity flavour.

During the summer they can be picked almost daily. This productive ever-bearing variety works well in containers or raised beds in full sun to partial shade. The abundant and short-lived white flowers are also highly attractive to bees.

The alpine strawberry, or European strawberry, (AKA fraise des bois), is a perennial herbaceous plant that grows naturally throughout much of North America, and is a favourite of foragers everywhere. It is also known as wild strawberries, or the woodland strawberry.

Be sure to net from squirrels, rabbits and chipmunks.

Canadian Shipping
Shipping is calculated at the time of order and is based on the number of seed packets per order. All packages are shipped through Canada Post and pricing is the same for addresses across Canada.

Larger items are calculated by weight and destination.

International Orders
International seed orders are made at the buyer’s own risk and we cannot guarantee delivery. We will receive and ship orders, but cannot account for the actions of foreign customs, which is the reason for this non-guarantee. Unfortunately, I do not offer phytosanitary certificates so in the rare chance the seeds are confiscated or destroyed at the border, your order will not be refunded or reissued.

Non-seed orders are calculated by weight and destination.
