Kryptonite is a variety bred by Brad Gates of Wild Boar Farms.

This open-pollinated variety produces cocktail-sized cherries weighing between 2 to 4oz. Fruits are metallic green with yellow flecks and striping and dark blue anthocyanin shoulders. The more direct sun exposure, the darker the colour.

Flavour is pleasantly acidic and tangy. Delicious eaten raw, with a pinch of salt to balance the acidity.

Since green tomatoes may be difficult to identify when ripe, test the fruit by giving a gentle squeeze. If there’s a bit of give to the fruit, it is ready for harvest.

Growing Information:

Start tomato seeds indoors a minimum of 6 to 8 weeks before the final frost date. Please refer to my Seed Starting Calculator for specific planting dates for your planting area.

Tomatoes grow best in full sun and require consistent moisture in order to avoid blossom end rot.

Transplant outdoors after all risk of frost has passed. Space your plants at least 2 to 3 feet apart, depending on how well you stake them. Stay on top of removing sucker stems.

Plants have an indeterminate habit and will grow up to 5 feet tall. Proper staking is recommended to support vigorous vines. Remove suckers to encourage growth of the main central stem.

Shipping Information

Canadian Shipping

Shipping is calculated at the time of order and is based on the number of seed packets per order. All packages are shipped through Canada Post, and pricing for packages containing seeds are the same for addresses across Canada.

Larger items are calculated by weight and destination and will vary by province.

US Shipping

US seed orders are made at the buyer’s own risk, and we cannot guarantee delivery. We will receive and ship orders but cannot account for the actions of foreign customs, which is the reason for this non-guarantee. Unfortunately, I do not offer phytosanitary certificates, so if the seeds are confiscated or destroyed at the border, your order will not be refunded or reissued.

Non-seed orders are calculated by weight and destination and vary by state.

We cannot ship orders outside of North America.
