Flavour is a perfect balance of sweet with acidity, making for a wonderful traditional flavour, but with all the juicy features.
I have been growing my strain of Gardener's Delight for the past 5-6 years. Each year I select for the largest and most perfect shaped fruit, save the seed and replant. This strain is well adapted to my growing zone of 5a/b, along with all the fun twists that arrive with our typical summers - drought, rain, humidity, wind, storms and more.
I highly recommend this variety! It will definitely remain a staple in my kitchen garden.
Growing information:
Plants are indeterminate and require good staking to support tall growing vines.
Start seeds indoors at least 6 - 8 weeks before the final frost date. Please refer to my Seed Starting Calculator for specific planting dates for your area.
Transplant outdoors after all risk of frost has passed and space your plants a minimum of 2 to 3 feet apart, depending on how well you stake them and stay on top of removing suckers.
Tomatoes grow best in full sun.
