Bred by Tom Wagner, ‘Flaming Burst’ comes from a selected crossing with Jaune Flamme. Orange pear-shaped cherry tomatoes will produce countless fruits throughout the growing season. In my garden, Flaming Burst showed strong resistance to late blight and continued to produce when others failed.
The flavour is sweet, mildly acidic and quite juicy. Skin is resistant to splitting, making them easier to manage during a rainy spell.
Although considered an indeterminate, Flaming Burst is easier to manage since it only grows to a height of approximately 4 feet!
If you’re looking for an abundant cherry tomato that is also resistant to disease, Flaming Burst makes a good choice!
Start tomato seeds indoors a minimum of 6 to 8 weeks before the final frost date. Please refer to my Seed Starting Calculator for specific planting dates for your planting area.
Tomatoes grow best in full sun and require consistent moisture in order to avoid blossom end rot.
Transplant outdoors after all risk of frost has passed. Space your plants at least 2 to 3 feet apart, depending on how well you stake them. Stay on top of removing sucker stems.
Plants have an indeterminate habit and require proper staking to support vigorous vines. Remove suckers to encourage growth of the main central stem.

Shipping is calculated at the time of order and is based on the number of seed packets per order. All packages are shipped through Canada Post, and pricing for packages containing seeds are the same for addresses across Canada.
Larger items are calculated by weight and destination and will vary by province.
US seed orders are made at the buyer’s own risk, and we cannot guarantee delivery. We will receive and ship orders but cannot account for the actions of foreign customs, which is the reason for this non-guarantee. Unfortunately, I do not offer phytosanitary certificates, so if the seeds are confiscated or destroyed at the border, your order will not be refunded or reissued.
Non-seed orders are calculated by weight and destination and vary by state.
We cannot ship orders outside of North America.
