Echinacea purpurea

‘Purple Coneflower’ Echinacea produces long-blooming plants from July to October.

Add to your flower border or vegetable garden. Bright mauve-pink petals surround a distinctive rich plum center cone. Pick petals and add to tea. Dig up roots at the end of summer or early fall, clean well, dry and use for tea.

Sow 5mm (¼") deep. If planted in the spring, they may bloom in the first year, but they are spectacular after their second year. These perennial coneflowers attract pollinators, hoverflies and parasitoid wasps, making them useful for pest control and improving pollination. Echinacea plants are sturdy and drought-tolerant once established.

Plant height to 80cm (32"). Perennial

To learn more about Echinacea, its uses, medicinal benefits and how to grow and brew your own delicious cup of tea, check out my book, "Tea Gardening for Beginners.” It was released on July 26, 2022, and published by Rockridge Press, a division of Callisto Media. Signed copies are available through my shop here.

Shipping Information

Canadian Shipping

Shipping is calculated at the time of order and is based on the number of seed packets per order. All packages are shipped through Canada Post, and pricing for packages containing seeds are the same for addresses across Canada.

Larger items are calculated by weight and destination and will vary by province.

US Shipping

US seed orders are made at the buyer’s own risk, and we cannot guarantee delivery. We will receive and ship orders but cannot account for the actions of foreign customs, which is the reason for this non-guarantee. Unfortunately, I do not offer phytosanitary certificates, so if the seeds are confiscated or destroyed at the border, your order will not be refunded or reissued.

Non-seed orders are calculated by weight and destination and vary by state.

We cannot ship orders outside of North America.
