This variety is the quintessential Italian shelling bean. Often used in minestrone soup, bean stew, mashed with herbs over toast and more. They are a must-grow tasty, plump bean.

Beans may be harvested anytime for fresh shelling beans after their pods have filled out. Leave pods to dry and harvest dry beans at the end of the season. Fresh beans are white with pink mottling. Beans darken to a lovely beige with purple stripes and speckling when fully dry.

This is an indeterminate bean variety that requires a tall trellis to support its sprawling growth. Consider growing over an archway for ease of harvest.

Shipping Information

Canadian Shipping

Shipping is calculated at the time of order and is based on the number of seed packets per order. All packages are shipped through Canada Post, and pricing for packages containing seeds are the same for addresses across Canada.

Larger items are calculated by weight and destination and will vary by province.

US Shipping

US seed orders are made at the buyer’s own risk, and we cannot guarantee delivery. We will receive and ship orders but cannot account for the actions of foreign customs, which is the reason for this non-guarantee. Unfortunately, I do not offer phytosanitary certificates, so if the seeds are confiscated or destroyed at the border, your order will not be refunded or reissued.

Non-seed orders are calculated by weight and destination and vary by state.

We cannot ship orders outside of North America.
