Aji Delight is a member of the Capsicum baccatum family, one normally associated with very hot chillies. So, although it looks like a hot pepper in shape and colour, it exhibits zero trace of any heat!

In my experience, the flavour is sweet, with a hint of apple. Crunchy, thin flesh, and lots of flavour. I dehydrated a bunch and ground them up to make the most pungent and aromatic sweet paprika powder.

Surprise your friends and family with this fun and unusual pepper. Plants produce abundant fruit, all season long. Harvest as fruits ripen and plants will be encouraged to keep producing more.

Growing Information:

Start seeds indoors at least 8-10 weeks before the final frost date. Please refer to my Seed Starting Calculator for specific planting dates for your area. Use a heat mat to help speed germination, if the environment is cold.

Peppers prefer to grow in full sun. Transplant outdoors after all risk of frost has passed and space your plants at least 1.5 to 2 feet apart.
